While the first game was developed by Obsidian, the follow-up was developed by Ubisoft’s own San Francisco studio. The company published the last two major games in the franchise: South Park: The Stick of Truth released in 2014 and follow up South Park: The Fractured But Whole in 2017. However, it’s interesting to note that-at least for the moment-publishers Ubisoft do not seem to be involved. What’s more, according to an email from Matt Stone himself claimed to have been sent to Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw, the game is already in development internally by an in-house studio. The six-year deal is said to include new episodes of the television series, several spin-off movies and “a 3D video game that is set in the world of ‘South Park’. The news comes by way of a Bloomberg report of a new $900 million dollar deal the pair have made with ViacomCBS. ![]() ![]() It’s come to light that a new South Park game may be in development according to the long-running series’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
